Hi, I’m Savanna Loy — though many people know me as “The Author in the Hat.” I’m a multi-genre bestselling author, speaker, creative strategist, and the heart behind so many stories, brands, and businesses across East Texas.

But before any title, I’m a wife, a momma of six, a believer in second chances, and someone who has built a life out of resilience, creativity, faith, and purpose.

I co-own Krier & Co. Media alongside my business partner and best friend, where we help businesses, nonprofits, schools, authors, and organizations grow through authentic storytelling and strategic marketing. Over the years, I’ve had the honor of helping shape brands, launch businesses, grow community initiatives, support nonprofits, and teach entrepreneurs how to connect with people in meaningful ways — not just through algorithms, but through heart.

My journey has never been traditional.

Before marketing and publishing, I worked as a 911 dispatcher and hostage negotiator — a role that taught me how powerful words can be in life’s hardest moments. I later served in Christian education leadership and ministry work, while simultaneously raising a growing family and pursuing the dream I had carried since I was nine years old: becoming an author.

That dream eventually became reality.

Since publishing my first books, I’ve written across multiple genres, contributed to anthologies, coached authors, spoken publicly on leadership, faith, resilience, foster care, branding, and storytelling, and built a platform centered around honesty, healing, creativity, and connection. My stories often explore themes of trauma, redemption, survival, found family, faith, and the beauty of choosing hope anyway.

I’m also deeply rooted in community. From local chambers and nonprofits to schools, small businesses, and leadership organizations, I believe some of the most impactful work happens at the local level. East Texas is home, and serving this community is one of my greatest passions.

At home, life is loud, chaotic, and beautiful. My husband — the boy I’ve loved since I was sixteen — serves as a nurse, and together we’ve built a family full of adventure, second chances, coffee-fueled mornings, homeschool lessons, creative dreams, and lots of animals. We’ve fostered, adopted, prayed through hard seasons, celebrated impossible victories, and learned that sometimes the most meaningful stories are the ones you never planned to write.

Whether I’m building a brand, writing a novel, teaching authors, speaking on stage, creating content, or simply encouraging someone who feels unseen — my mission stays the same:

To create work that matters.
To tell stories that move people.
And to remind others that even broken beginnings can still become beautiful legacies.
